Interim, a necessary step to get a CDI

For young people under the age of 26, temporary work appears to be a useful means of integrating into the labor market on a long-term basis and of acquiring professional experience.

Interim siding for young people? On the contrary, if we are to believe the biannual barometer “Young people and employment”, carried out by Prism’emploi, according to which for 53% of those under 26 years of age a temporary stint is useful in order to then get a CDI (+4 points in 6 months). “The results of this survey show once again that young people recognize the integrative role of temporary work. Indeed, temporary work allows them to gain a foothold in professional life and the employment agencies are there to support them Contrary to popular belief, temporary work is therefore not a path of precariousness, but a real added value because it allows young people to develop their employability and gain experience. professional “.

Reflection of society

At the beginning of March, the temporary employment companies also announced the signing of the first temporary permanent contracts. These contracts aim to reconcile flexibility and job security by ensuring in particular a specific training fund and minimum monthly remuneration (up to 1.25 minimum wage for executives) during periods not worked.

A necessary change because if the image of temporary work is developing positively, the temporary worker’s status is still an obstacle to carrying out long-term projects. An evolution that also reflects changes in society. The wage system will decline in favor of new forms of work, “with independent workers, freelancers, consultants …”
